Hello Everyone,
This is my latest painting 'Wild Gerbera' from Brush Strokes, with a link to my shop where you can purchase this Original, handpainted, Acrylic Painting on a stretched canvas.
So, as a lot of you may be aware, you start with an image in your mind of what you want to create, but before your know it, once that paintbrush is in your hand your imagination takes over!!
My thought process with 'Wild Gerbera' was to create a Monotone painting, using different tones of just one colour, turquiose! My thought process changed whilst creating this piece as I wanted to depict the Gerbera's using vibrant colours, uniquely mixed, that would stand out from the striking Teal background. Using shimmering Golds and Bronze colours has given my piece a contemporary identity, creating movement, almost as if the Gerbera's are alive! I also love the shapes that are created from the negative space and patterns which were thought out thoroughtly when designning my Painting.
